The History of Science Museum and East Oxford Primary School used storytelling to develop ways to make objects in the collection more accessible for children with English as an additional language, and raise achievement in their writing. The project involved performances and taught sessions with a professional storyteller and the project coordinator in the museum, as well as follow-up performance and writing workshops in school. The work of the children was celebrated with a reunion in the Museum to which parents were invited, and the stories remained available to the public for several months.
